ALL-CITY HIGH SCHOOL band of Burbank occupied spot just ahead of city's prize-winning float in 79th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade, New Year's Day classic in Pasadena. Rose Parade participant for many years, unit counted 131 musicians, four majorettes, 13 banner carriers, two drum majors under direction of David S Olson and Robert Rose. Young bandsmen tapped for honor are from Burbank and John Burroughs High Schools, and Burbank Police Boys Band. |
